IÕm always looking for models to trade with. Depending where you are in your modeling or acting career what I have to offer could either be a good idea or a bad trade.
My main interest in working with models is to get new photos for my website and to add to my stock photography collection. If you donÕt know already stock photography agents are a business that creates a collection of images and attempt to attract clients that want to license the images. So IÕm looking to create an image that can be licensed for a media use.
It is speculative. Sometimes I create a great image that doesnÕt get selected and other times I have a good image that fits the bill. It is hard to know what will fit the market.
What I have to offer is some photos that you can use to build up your portfolio and give you experience in front of a camera. I will give you prints and files that you can use on a website in exchange for a signed model release.
IÕm interested in filling the holes in your current portfolio as well as taking images that speak to the market that is right for your personality. Some actors that I work with are initially looking for a headshot and when we are done have the start of a commercial modeling book.
If you have a good portfolio already and experience working as a model - a good agent will advise you that trading a model release for photos is bad business. If you donÕt have many photos in your book, this could be a good way to build a foundation.
My style is more commercial than fashion oriented and I have been working on images that speak to the healthcare market.
I often start by shooting images that relate to your hobbies and interests. At the very least, if you donÕt become famous you have quality photos that document your life. Where do you work? What do you like to do for fun are good places to start.
Often I do a photo for you and you do one for me. This could translate into taking a headshot for you and a healthy eating photo for me. Still interested?
